For all the glory along the way, Old Trunks congratulates the Jayhawks for their 'never quit' attitude as well as their ability to play the game as a team. The coach is to be congratulated for keeping them focused. Truly, Self Esteem!
Yes, it is true, Mario saved the game in regulation with his three point shot at 2.1 seconds on the clock which allowed the Jayhawks to come back strong in overtime.

For my children: I watched the game laying down. As in Scrabble, I sat up in the last few minutes of regulation, and you know what happens when I sit up!
